Alisha, an Australian artist currently based in Dubai, creating abstract and figurative pieces designed to bring color and happiness into the lives of those who admire and possess her work.
Each painting has been created instinctively, and is infused with Alisha's free spirit, passion & energy.

Alisha's process often takes weeks, sometimes even months, as she constructs each piece through many layers. Building on depth and creating a unique visual interest is the process taken with most pieces. Once she feels a piece is near completion, Alisha will hang in her own home in a place of prominence to allow natural observation over several weeks. It is only then does she know if a piece is completed or if she feels it needs further refinement.

“Sometimes, as creatives, we get to a point where we are uncertain if our creation is complete. We may be stuck as to what direction or move to make next. It's all often very instinctive, well at least for me anyway. Quite often, I will stop working on a piece, pull up a chair and just sit and stare. I can do this for weeks until finally I have my ‘ah ha’ moment and know how to finish.”

Acrylic mediums play a heavy role in the finished product, however most of her mixed media pieces also include alcohol inks, pastels, spray paints, watercolours, foils and oil paints.
